There are dozens of events sponsored by the PTO each year.  See the list below for information about events, when they occur and who is in charge.  Your help is always appreciated; simply e-mail the "contact" for more information!

PTO Fundraising (Year Round)

Box Tops for Education/Labels for Education

Box Tops have switched to a "SCAN YOUR RECEIPT" method.  If you buy items that have Box Tops, you have to go to the Box Tops app and scan your receipt so our school can get credit.  Please consider helping us out by doing this each time you shop!
​Also, you can order online from many different stores through the Box Tops for Education site and our school receives "Box Top" kickbacks for ordering this way.  Go to www.boxtops4education.com to sign up.  Contact Teri Athey for more information.

Volunteer Opportunities

Publishing Center

Help with various teacher projects (bulletin boards, laminating, etc.).  This can be done whenever you have free time.

PTO Events (By Month)

September/October
Fall Fundraiser / Donation Option - Each year, Suamico Elementary does a fall fundraiser to raise money to help support the many programs that the Suamico PTO supports.  If you choose not to participate in the fall fundraiser, we encourage you to make a donation to the PTO.  These funds are used for a variety of programs:  artist-in-residence, classroom field trips, classroom subscriptions, technology enhancements, playground equipment upgrades and more.
October
Family Fun Night - Enjoy a family fun-filled evening at Suamico Elementary and get to know other families!  The fun includes:  Inflatable Jumping Houses, Food Trucks, and more!
Book Fair - there are 2 Book Fair events per year (fall and spring),  The Fall Book Fair is run as a fundraiser to help provide books for teacher's classroom libraries.  Proceeds from the Fall Book Fair are divided among the teachers and they are allowed to pick out books to be used in their classrooms.  In Fall 2023, all teachers were able to pick out about $200 in books!  Contact Kayla Williams for more information.

Holiday Wreath / Poinsettia Sale - purchase holiday wreaths and poinsettias from Scenic View Nursery.  These are delivered to your house!



Holiday Concert Art Decorations - help hang art projects before the Suamico Holiday Concert.  Contact Jessica Loritz (art teacher) for more information.
February
Sweetheart Auction - the school's largest fundraiser, a family event with kids games and dozens of auction items, takes place around Valentine's Day each year.  Volunteers are needed in the months leading up to this event for:  kids games, food/drinks, classroom baskets, classroom art projects, gathering donations, assembling baskets, decorations, and much more. 
March


Memory Book - help to create the school's Memory Book.  Contact Jessica Hyrkas, Suamico secretary, for more information.
May

Teacher Appreciation Week - help prepare a lunch for the teachers as a way to say "thank you".

School Supply Kits - stop the crazy August supply shopping frenzy and order school supplies that will be delivered to school in August.
June
Field Day - help to organize a fun, end-of-the-year field day experience for all students.
